Boys and Girls Club of the Foothills

The Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills incorporated in 1992. An affiliate of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the organization originated from the community’s need to establish quality activities as a solution for delinquency, juvenile crime and drug use among the youth of Monrovia. The Club was founded by a group of civic leaders joined by area business people and interested persons. In 1994 the first Clubhouse was opened in Monrovia. The Club has served over 8,000 children since our opening, with more than 1,000 boys and girls between the ages of 5-18 years currently registered. For years the Club has provided guidance and constructive after-school activities for “at risk” youth living in the densely populated and multi-ethnic areas of Monrovia, Duarte and Arcadia.
Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
