Christmas in Action came to Corsicana 1992 as an affiliate of a national organization called Christmas in April. Evolving over the years, and undergoing several leadership changes, the local organization adopted the name Christmas in Action in 2006. The Navarro County branch of CIA is now one of 25 branches in several states.
The Christmas in Action mission is to serve Navarro County by repairing and renovating homes of low-income, elderly, and/or disabled individuals through Christian values and principals. The organization is run entirely by volunteers and donors who provide the funding, materials, and manpower to renovate between 20 and 40 Navarro County homes each year. Repairs increase accessibility for the elderly and disabled, and address critical safety issues. Christmas in Action represents the true spirit of Christmas by putting Christian values into action through service to others.
