LandPaths’ fosters a love of the land by creating ways for people to experience the beauty, understand the value, and assist in healing the land.
LandPaths’ mission is to foster a love of the land in Sonoma County, California. LandPaths provides exceptional outdoor experiences that connect people of all backgrounds to nature, and foster a mutually beneficial relationship between people and the land. We create ways for people to experience the beauty, understand the value, and assist in healing the land.
Since its founding in 1996, LandPaths is a leading conservation and environmental education agency in our county. We engage more than 6,000 participants annually, from all across Sonoma County. We ensure equity and inclusion through intentional outreach, recruitment, and program design. Most programs are free or by sliding scale.
LandPaths’ work is aligned within three initiatives designed to provide nature-based experiences that are inspiring, safe, and culturally relevant. Our Branching Out Conservation for Everyone initiative breaks down barriers so that people historically excluded from the outdoors can reap the benefits of time spent in nature. Growing Community with Nature, our community stewardship initiative, fosters common purpose and collective joythrough volunteer stewardship projects and seasonal outdoor celebrations. The Rooting Youth in Nature initiative includes summer camps and outdoor experiential programs for school groups designed to build comfort, confidence, and connection with nature while supporting standards-based learning.
