Saint Boniface Haiti Foundation

The St. Boniface Haiti Foundation strives to improve life for the poor of Haiti by facilitating access to quality, affordable health care, educational opportunities and community development programs. Our goal is to create a model of successful, sustainable development in rural Haiti that relies on local leadership and workforce and that can be replicated throughout the country. We believe the only way to achieve this goal is by empowering Haitians to help Haitians.

The St. Boniface Haiti Foundation is committed to helping those in need when no one else can. We work side-by-side with the people of Haiti to break the cycle of poverty and alleviate suffering through health care, education and community development. We work with compassion, respect and love for the people and communities we serve.

The St. Boniface Haiti Foundation will distinguish itself as a leader in redefining health care delivery, education and community development in Haiti. We will be recognized for our passion in providing quality care to the poorest of the poor in Haiti. We work toward the goal of building healthy, independent and self-sustaining communities.

We work to improve health and quality of life for all members of the community at every stage of their lives. Our hospital and clinic provide prenatal care for thousands of pregnant women. Our doctors help to safely deliver babies in a clean operating room. Our community health nurses vaccinate children against diseases like polio and diphtheria. We track a child’s development as he or she grows and make sure they are getting enough food and the essential vitamins they need.

When children enter school, we help their parents meet the costs of books and tuition. When possible, we award the most promising students scholarships to attend university and become doctors, nurses, dentists, accountants and IT professionals who then come back to our hospital to work and contribute to their communities and their families. We oversee a Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation and Reintegration Program with the goal of caring for and empowering people with spinal cord injuries as well as educating their communities about disability.
