Best Friends is an organization dedicated to helping animals in need in Harford County. We make clear, we do not wish to be confused with Best Friends Animal Society in Utah. However, we follow their ideals and have been working toward becoming a partner. We seek to network with, unite, and assist the animal rescue groups in Harford County to best help find forever homes for our animals as well as provide safe havens and foster homes, lessening the need for euthanizing unwanted or stray animals. Right now we specialize in controlling community cat populations through TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return). We seek to educate the public in the importance of spaying/neutering all pets, as well as controlling the community cat populations in our county.

We seek to form professional relations with veterinarians and clinics to ensure the best health conditions for our local animals. Additionally, we hope to provide resources for and ally with other animal rescuers in Harford and surrounding areas so that we can save as many animal lives as possible.

We will work with other organizations by sharing advertisement/facebook listings to home animals, assisting in both canine and feline animal rescue operations, sharing best health practices and providing animal welfare education and information.
