Established in 2005, Healing Hearts is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of abused, neglected and abandoned animals. We provide them with the care and compassion that is necessary for their recovery.
Healing Hearts Animal Refuge is our animal ranch facility which houses rescued abused, abandoned and neglected animals. We take on some of the most severe abuse cases, often working with the Sheriff’s Department, Arizona Department of Agriculture, and other local law enforcement agencies. Our organization also works with horse & livestock owners who can no longer properly care for their animals. The goal of Healing Hearts is to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the State of Arizona and to serve those animals who are the victims of abuse.
Although Healing Hearts is a refuge where animals may live out their natural lives, they also have a chance to be adopted into new, loving homes. This allows Healing Hearts to serve a greater number as space becomes available at the ranch for other animals in need of our help.
Healing Hearts is unique in Arizona as we not only rescue, rehabilitate and provide life-long homes to Equines, but other hoofed animals as well. We have dedicated our mission to also serving pot-bellied pigs, farm hogs, cattle, and even llamas who have been saved from petting zoos, slaughterhouses, livestock auctions, breeding barns, factory farms and stockhouses. These animals are once again able to thrive & live their life to the fullest at our 160 acre refuge ranch in Willcox. For close to 15 years Healing Hearts has been a leader in livestock advocacy & legislation.
