Marty Turcios Therapeutic Golf Foundation teaches golf, as therapy, to veterans with Traumatic Brain Injuries and to teens and adults with autism, Down’s syndrome and other severe disabilities such as amputees and stroke survivors.
Golf is therapeutic when taught by Recreation Therapist, Marty Turcios.
In 2009 Marty Turcios created this non-profit public charity in order to raise money to fund the programs he was already spending his life teaching. Marty Turcios has been teaching golf, professionally, mostly to disabled people since the 1980’s.
Marty Turcios was born with severe cerebral palsy, yet he often plays 18 holes in the 90’s.
