LifeCenter Northwest LogoWhat we do

LifeCenter Northwest is dedicated to saving lives through organ and tissue donation. As a federally designated nonprofit organ procurement organization and an AATB-accredited tissue recovery organization, we seek to be good stewards of the gift of life—and to honor the courageous donors and families who make donation possible. We live by our values—integrity, respect, collaboration, service, and courageous leadership—as we work with families, medical professionals, and communities across Alaska, Montana, North Idaho, and Washington

Support and honor donor families

LifeCenter Northwest supports grieving families throughout the donation process. We provide support in person, by phone, and onsite at the hospital, and our after-care program includes a minimum of 18 months of grief support, including personal calls and letters, counseling referrals, and additional resources specific to the needs of the family. Our Family Services staff coordinates communication between donor families and recipients, and helps to honor donors through special projects and events such as memorial quilts, local donation celebrations, and honoree sponsorship on the annual Donate Life Rose Parade float.

Support and collaborate with medical professionals

We work closely with our 208 partner hospitals to maximize donation opportunities, so that together we can save and improve more lives across our region. Our Hospital Development team provides ongoing education for hospital staff on organ and tissue donation guidelines and procedures, to ensure that they always recognize and refer potential donors. We also help hospitals stay in compliance with federal regulations.
